ABOUT THE COUNCIL ON COMPETITIVENESS

The Council on Competitiveness has been uniting academia, business, labor, and national labs for over three decades to promote a nonpartisan agenda that spurs entrepreneurship and innovation. They prioritize policies that prepare the workforce, attract investment, deploy new technologies, and enhance innovation infrastructure to increase US productivity in the global marketplace.

Their flagship initiative, the National Commission on Innovation and Competitiveness Frontiers, is driving long-term productivity and inclusive prosperity. Futuro Health contributed to the Council’s report on US innovation Competing in the Next Economy, outlining 50+ strategic recommendations to improve U.S. innovation tenfold: 10X.

The Council is interested in Healthcare Employer Roundtables to inform policy recommendations in four key areas outlined in their new concept paper: Competing in the Next Economy: Adapting to a Changing World:

  • The Future of Sustainability
  • The Future of Technology: Developing and Deploying Disruptive Technologies at Speed and Scale
  • The Future of Work: Developing, Supporting, and Expanding the Modern Innovation Workforce in an Era of Creative Destruction
  • The Future of Place-Based Innovation: Broadening and Deepening the U.S. Innovation Ecosystem
