The California Workforce Development Board (CWDB) is the Governor’s agent for the development, oversight, and continuous improvement of California’s workforce development system. The CWDB assists the Governor in setting and guiding workforce development policy, developing innovative initiatives through statewide programs, and expanding the High Road vision through its field branch. California State University, Long Beach. Established in 1949, California State University, Long Beach is a public comprehensive University in Los Angeles County, adjacent to the border with Orange County. Cerro Coso Community College is one of three colleges in the Kern Community College District. The College is charged with the responsibility of providing educational opportunities for the widely separated desert, mountain, and valley communities within a sweeping 18,000-mile, four-county region of eastern California with a population base of just over 85,000 individuals. La Familia Counseling Center is the latest community-based organization to partner with Futuro Health to train those interested in careers in medical assisting. For more than 40 years, La Familia has successfully operated programs providing multicultural counseling, outreach and support services to low income, at-risk youth, and families in Sacramento County.

Mercy College of Health Science was founded in 1899 and offers year-round coursework in 14 unique certificate, associate, and baccalaureate health science degrees. Mercy College provides innovative curriculum aligned to meet the needs of healthcare partners.
