WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN OUR COMMUNITY OF HEALTHCARE WORKERS

Futuro Health is partnering with the Service Employee International Union-United Healthcare Workers (SEIU-UHW) which includes 100,000 workers are already employed in hospitals and other healthcare settings.  Together, our organizations are reaching out broadly across California communities to identify people interested in preparing for allied health jobs, including medical assistant, medical coder, or care coordinator. Learn more about these pathways.

WE PAIR YOU WITH A SUCCESS COACH

After you’ve had a chance to explore the available career pathways and after you’ve completed your student profile, Futuro Health has success coaches available to guide you along your educational journey. They can guide you as you explore which career path is the best match for you, what preparations you will need to get ready, and support you as you progress along your educational journey.

WE SUPPORT YOU TO TAKE ONE STEP AT A TIME

Preparing for a job in healthcare requires time and commitment from you and the support of those around you.  Your coach can advise you on how to talk with your family or supervisor, how to apply and get enrolled, and more. Once you’ve enrolled in a career pathway, your success coach will continue with you as you undertake your coursework, including any lab or clinical work, and cheer you on towards attaining any necessary healthcare credentials.

In addition, as you progress through your educational journey, you may be matched with a SEIU-UHW sponsor — someone who is already employed in the allied health field related to the career you want to pursue. Your sponsor can help answer questions specific to success in  healthcare career.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT CLASSES START THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

Futuro Health is committed to placing up to 1000 candidates from across California into medical assistant programs this year. We have identified a wide variety of top-notch education partners across the state that offer high quality programs, including Bay Area Medical Academy, MTI College, Pima Medical Institute, Merced College, Santa Barbara Community College, Western Governor’s University, Concorde Career Colleges, Inc. and North-West College. Each school will offer coursework online with required in-person skills labs and externships.

We operate on a rolling admissions basis, which means there are start dates at each school throughout the year. Some programs start monthly, while others start at the beginning of a semester. Here is how our admissions process works:

  • We evaluate your application against all program requirements
  • We match you with an education partner close to your home that has space available
  • We ensure there are lab space and externship opportunities available within commuting distance of your home

As courses you are eligible for become available, you will be contacted by a Futuro Health Navigator by email and/or phone who will walk you through the next steps to complete your enrollment. It will be important that you respond to them promptly to ensure you don’t miss out on this unique opportunity.
