Erika F.

Erika brings a blend of clinical and higher education experience to her work supporting future healthcare professionals. She spent five years as a Certified Medical Assistant, working in both a privately owned clinic and a large medical foundation. She later gained additional frontline healthcare experience during her three years as a Patient Access Representative in the emergency department of a Level II trauma and stroke center. In addition to her clinical background, Erika has six years of experience in private post-secondary education. During that time, she held several roles, including Externship Coordinator, Career Services Advisor, Career Services Coordinator, and Associate Director of Career Services. In these positions, she was dedicated to guiding students and graduates as they prepared for meaningful and rewarding careers.

Erika earned her Associate Degree in Medical Assisting through an accelerated program similar to those attended by Futuro Health students, giving her valuable firsthand insight into the student journey. She is deeply passionate about helping others, making a positive impact in her community, and supporting students and graduates as they achieve their goals. She is excited to contribute to the success of future scholars.

Outside of her professional work, Erika enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, and exploring new foods as a self-proclaimed foodie. She is a wife, mother of four, grandmother to one grandson, and proud owner of two lively, barking fur babies.
