Carmen has a strong background in program coordination, community outreach, and operations management with several years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Carmen designed and executed impactful programs, managed community engagement initiatives, and consistently delivered on program goals while keeping the participant experience and community satisfaction at the heart of everything she did. Her career spans work in digital literacy, nutrition education, and mobile outreach — always with a focus on expanding access and driving meaningful change in underserved communities. She also brings a global perspective to her work, having served as a Civil Servant Instructor in Hirosaki, Japan, where she designed curriculum and coordinated cross-cultural community engagement events.

Carmen holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Asian Studies from Florida International University, where she was a Benjamin A. Gilman Scholar and Dean’s List honoree. Outside of work, she enjoys fishing with her father, traveling, and diving into history documentaries and novels that fuel her curiosity about the world. She is also a proud beagle mom to her dog Kenji.”
