Dr. Alan C. has fifteen years of experience conducting diversity and equity research in health, mental health, and education.  His research spanned topics such as the development of culturally-competent prevention and treatment to reduce health and mental health disparities, diversity and student success in higher education, and multiple measures college placement.

He was lead data scientist for the LaunchBoard Community College Pipeline, a program evaluation and planning tool for all colleges and programs of study in the California Community Colleges system. Alan has a range of expertise in social science research, survey methodology, cross-cultural measurement, assessment, statistics, as well as big data methods to glean insights from statewide, longitudinal education and workforce data.

Alan holds a Ph.D. in Social-Personality Psychology with a minor in Quantitative Psychology from the University of California, Davis.
