eConnection December 2021

The Futuro Health team would like to celebrate our 2021 points of pride with you:

  • We achieved our 2021 enrollment goal. We enrolled 3,500 adults into healthcare programs with our education partners. This brings the total to over 5,000 students served by Futuro Health since our launch in 2020.
  • We embraced diversity. Our students reflect 80% ethnic diversity, 51% bilingualism, 73% female and average age 30 — with thanks to SEIU-UHW for their broad outreach.
  • Vaccination campaign launched. Futuro Health provided nursing and allied health students an opportunity to gain clinical hours by joining the frontline battle against COVID-19. We delivered 25,000 staffing hours, 7,500 clinical hours, and played a role in administering 677,100 vaccines in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, Adventist Health, the California Medical Association, and Dignity Health.
  • Our consortia won a federal grant. Through intersegmental collaboration with UC Berkeley, CalState Long Beach, CalState East Bay, an array of California community colleges and others, Futuro Health will be part of the solution in growing workers in public health IT.
  • We created 29 WorkforceRx podcasts. National leaders and innovators shared their insights into creating a future-focused workforce.

We wish you a wonderful holiday season,
Van Ton-Quinlivan
