Veenu Aulakh has joined Futuro Health as Executive-in-Residence, to evaluate possible futures for our expansion. She comes from the Center for Care Innovation’s (CCI) where she served as president from 2012 to 2020, growing the organization’s staff, budget, and strategy to focus on strengthening the health and health care for under-invested communities across the country. Veenu helped to build critical partnerships with health care providers, funders, entrepreneurs, and community partners to transform health.
Before joining CCI, Veenu worked as a senior program officer at the California Health Care Foundation, where she managed program-related investments in organizations that have the potential to significantly lower the cost of care. She also led projects to improve the quality of primary care with an emphasis on information technology and patient engagement.
Previously, Veenu held a number of positions within Kaiser Permanente related to improving quality of care, developing disease management programs, and increasing patient engagement. She also worked as a project manager with the diagnostics division of Abbott Laboratories.
Veenu received a bachelor’s degree in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in health policy and management from Harvard University. In her spare time Veenu enjoys traveling to foreign lands and biking and hiking up hills in the Bay Area.
