This course is designed to offer healthcare workers – including unit clerks, certified nursing assistants, medical assistants, EKG technicians, patient care technicians, lab assistants, surgical technicians, phlebotomists, first responders, and non-direct care professionals (environmental technicians, transporters, cashiers, receptionists) — with the added skills and competencies to assist with COVID-19 screening in a safe and effective manner.
The pre-requisite for this course is that you must be an LVN with a valid license.
To be eligible for the Care Coordinator Program you must have 3+ years’ experience as a Medical Assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.
Applicants must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED by summer 2020, reside in California and be eligible to work in the United States.
You should expect that our educational partners will require you to pass a drug test before starting school or sometime during your educational journey, and that all employers will require you to pass a drug test before starting work.
Eligibility will depend on the recruitment criteria set by each education pathway and tailored to the career. Additional criteria will be established should there be more qualified candidates than space.
